இயக்குனர் கபிலன் இயக்கி வெற்றிமாறன் உழைப்பில் வெளி வந்துள்ள "அறப்போர்" ஆவணப் படத்தின் வெளியீடு சென்னை ஸ்பென்செர் பிளாசா எதிரில் உள்ள புக் பாயிண்ட் ஹவுஸ் உள் அரங்கத்தில் நடைப் பெற்றது. ( இடம் நேர் எதிரே இருந்தாலும் , ஆடம்பரமான பதாகைகள் ஏதும் இன்றி இருந்தமையாலும் விநியோகிக்கப் பட்ட அழைப்பிதழில் ஒரியெண்ட் ப்ளாக்ஸ்வான் என்று குறிப்பிட படாததாலும் தேடிக் கண்டு பிடிக்க நெடுநேரம் ஆனது . மழைத் தூறல் ஆரம்பிக்கவும்,நானும் என் மனைவியும் இடத்தை கண்டு பிடித்து உள்நுழையவும் சரியாக இருந்தது.)
விழா மாலை 4.30 க்கு பதில் 5.00 மணிக்கு ஆரம்பம் ஆனது.

விழாவில் செந்தமிழன் , திருமுருகன் காந்தி ,வெங்கட்ராமன் , காசி ஆனந்தன் ஆகியோர் விருந்தினர்களாக கலந்து கொண்டனர் . வெங்கட் ராமன் தலைமை தாங்கினார் . காசி ஆனந்தன் குறுந்தகட்டை வெளியிட திருமுருகன் அதனைப் பெற்றுக் கொண்டார்.

அதனைத் தொடர்ந்து , ஆவணப் படம் திரையிடல் நடைபெற்றது . பல்வேறு கல்லூரிகளின் மாணவர் போராட்ட ஒருங்கிணைப்பாளர்கள் ,எழுத்தாளர் கவின்மலர் , சமூக ஆர்வலர்கள் மற்றும் குடும்ப உறுப்பினர்கள் ,போராட்டக் களத் தோழர்கள் இளையராஜா , பிரபாகரன் , பெத்தனவேல் ஆகியோர் அரங்கத்தினை பார்வையாளர்களாக அலங்கரித்தனர்.

திரையிடலைத் தொடர்ந்து நடைப்பெற்ற நிகழ்ச்சியில் கபிலன் அவர்களது வாழ்த்துக் கடிதம் வாசிக்கப் பட்டது(வேலைப் பளு காரணமாக வெளிநாடு சென்றமையால்).


கருத்துரை வழங்கிய திருமுருகன் காந்தி , பல்வேறு ஊடகங்கள் செய்தியினை திரித்து வெளியிடும் வேளையில், இத்தகைய ஆவணப் படம் சரித்திர முக்கியத்துவம் வாய்ந்ததென குறிப்பிட்டார். மாணவர்கள் போராட்டம் எவ்வளவு முக்கியமானது .அது எத்தகைய அரசியல் சூழ்ச்சியினை முறியடித்துள்ளது என்று குறிப்பிட்டு மாணவர்கள் போராட்டத்தினை முன்னெடுத்து செல்லவேண்டும் என கேட்டுக் கொண்டார். இந்திய பார்ப்பனியத் தந்திரத்தை எதிர்க்க மாணவர்கள் இணைந்து போராட வேண்டும் என்றும் கோரிக்கை விடுத்தார் .


இயக்குனர் செந்தமிழன் தம்முடைய மாணவர்ப் பருவ போராட்ட காலத்தை நினைவு கூர்ந்தார். போராட்டம் என்று அறிவித்தவுடன் வீட்டிற்கும்,திரையரங்கத்திற்கும் சென்று விடும் கலாச்சராமே மேலோங்கி இருந்ததையும் . நிதிவசூல் செய்கையில் அரசியல் அறிவின்றி மக்கள் இருந்ததையும் நினைவு கூர்ந்து , இன்றைய மாணவர்கள் அறிவுப் பூர்வமாய் செயல் பட்டு வருவதையும் பாராட்டினார். போராட்டத்தினை வித விதமான வடிவங்களில் முன்னெடுத்து , பெரும்பான்மையான மாணவர்கள் அணி திரள்வதை அமைதியாகவும் நிம்மதியாகவும் பெருமிதத்துடன் " பார்வையாளனாய் " ரசிப்பது அவரைப் போன்ற முன்னாள் மாணவர் போராளிக்கு கிடைத்த வரம் எனக் குறிப் பிட்டார். அமீர் அவர்களை தூரத்து சொந்தம் எனக் குறிப்பிட்டு அவர் இந்நிகழ்வில் கலந்து கொண்டது மிக்க மகிழ்ச்சி எனக் குறிப் பிட்டார்.


உணர்ச்சிக் கவிஞர் காசி ஆனந்தன் , தமிழக மாணவர் போராட்டம் அமெரிக்க அரசின் முக்கியப் பிரிவான ஸ்டேட் (State department ) துறையால் கூர்ந்து கவனிக்கப் பட்டு ஆலோசிக்கப் பட்டதாக கூறினார். அமெரிக்காவின் வெற்றுத் தீர்மானத்தை மாணவர்கள் நிராகரிக்கவும் , தம்முடைய தீர்மானம் இந்தியாவுடன் இணைந்தே தயாரிக்கப் பட்டதாக அமெரிக்காவை சொல்ல வைத்த பெருமை மாணவர் போராட்டத்தையே சேரும் என்று குறிப்பிட்டார்., சர்வதேச ஊடகங்கள், "Fringe group", "ethnic group " , ஆகிய வார்த்தைப் பிரயோகங்களின் மூலம் சுதந்திரப் போராட்டம் கொச்சைப் படுத்தப் படுகின்றது . தமிழ் ஈழம் என்கிற வார்த்தையை பயன்படுத்த மறுக்கின்றது. தமிழ் ஈழம் தமிழர்களின் தாயகம் (homeland ) என்பதை ஏற்க மறுப்பதையும் சுட்டி காட்டினார். தமிழ் ஈழப் போராட்டத்தை விடுதலைப் புலிகள் மீண்டும் முன்னெடுப்பார்கள் , அப்பொழுது தமிழக மாணவர்கள் தங்களது பங்களிப்பை செய்ய வேண்டும் என கோரிக்கை வைத்தார்.



தமிழ்த் தேசப் பொதுவுடைமை கட்சியின் பொதுச் செயலாளர் வெங்கட் ராமன் அவர்கள் , மாணவர் போராட்டம் தான் தமிழக கட்சிகளின் நிலைப் பாட்டை மாற்ற வெய்த்தது , சட்டமன்றத்தில் தீர்மானம் , பாராளுமன்றத்தில் விவாதம் வரக் காரமாக இருந்ததையும் . இந்திய அரசாங்கத்தின் பொருளாதாரக் கொள்கைகளை விட ஆரியத்தில் வேரூன்றி இருக்கும் இந்திய அரசின் "தமிழ் இனப் பகை " தான் இன்றைய நிலைக்கு காரணம் என்றும் , ஆரியத்தின் வெளிப்பாடே " பத்மா பூசன் , பாரத் ரத்னா , ஆர்யா பட்டா என வெளிப் பட்டு கொண்டு இருகின்றதென தோ லுரித்துக் காட்டினார். இந்திய அரசுகேதிராகவும் மாணவர் போராட்டம் வலுப்பெற வேண்டுமென்ற அவரது உரை வீச்சு அனைவரையும் மெய் சிலிர்க்க வைத்தது .


சிறப்புரை ஆற்றிய இயக்குனர் அமீர் தமக்கு சர்வதேச அரசியல் தெரியாதென எளிமையாய தம்முடைய உரையை துவக்கி , தாம் இஸ்லாமியத்தை பின்பற்றுவதால் தூரத்து உறவினராகி விட மாட்டேன் ,தம்முடைய மூன்று தலைமுறைக்கு முன் அனைவரும் தமிழ் இனமே .. எனவே தமிழன் என்பதே தன்னுடைய அடையாளம் என விளக்கினார்.
மாணவர்ப் போராட்ட வேளையில், புதுகோட்டையில் போராடிய மாணவர்களை சந்தித்து ஆதரவுத் தெரிவித்தமைக்கு , இலங்கையில் இருந்து தம்முடைய மார்க்கத் தலைவர்கள் மூலம் எதிர்ப்பு கிளம்பியதும் , இவர் இது பழிவாங்கும் காலம் அல்ல.. பொது மக்கள் அழிக்கப் படும் போது நம்முடைய ஆதரவு அவசியம் என தம்முடைய இஸ்லாம் மார்க்கத் தலைவர்களை சமாதானப் படுத்தியது மட்டுமில்லாமல் தமிழகமெங்கும் உள்ள இஸ்லாம் தலைவர்களை சந்தித்து அவர்களை மாணவர் போராட்டத்திற்கு ஆதரவாய் குரல் கொடுக்கச் செய்து களமிறங்க செய்த தம்முடைய பங்கினை நினைவு கூர்ந்தார் .
ஆவணப் படங்கள் புதிய கருத்துக்களை விதைக்கும் என்றும், இப்படத்தில் இருந்து தாமும் சில விடயங்களை கற்றுக் கொண்டுள்ளதாகவும் தெரிவித்தார். தம்முடைய சக படைப்பாளிகள் விடுதலை புலிகளின் வரலாற்றை திரைப் படமாக்க தயாராக இல்லை எனவும் , வெளிநாடு வாழ் அகதிகள் செல்வந்தர்களாகியும் சுயநலத்துடன் செயல் படுவதையும் அம்பலப் படுத்தினார். அவர் தம்முடைய கல்லூரி போராட்ட நாட்களில் " தமிழ் இனத் தலைவர் கலைஞர் " என கோஷ மிட்டவர்களில் தாமும் ஒருவன் என்றும் தற்பொழுது தான் " அவர் தலைவர் தான் .. தமிழ் இனத்திக்கு அல்ல.. திராவிட முன்னேற்றக் கழகத்திற்கு மட்டும் " எனப் புரிந்து கொண்டதையும் குறிப்பிட்டார்.
அரசியல் வாதிகள் ஈழத்தை பெற்றுத் தர மாட்டார்கள் . மாணவர்கள் தான் பெற்றுத் தர முடியும் எனவே அரசியல் வாதிகளை ஒதுக்கித் தள்ளுங்கள் என்றும். எக்காரணம் கொண்டும் மாணவர்களே அரசியல் கட்சி ஆரம்பித்து விடாதீர்கள் , அது போராட்டத்தினை திசை திருப்பி விடும் எனவும் எச்சரித்தார் .

ஏற்புரை வழங்கிய வெற்றிவேல் , அமீர் குறிப்பிட்ட எல்லா அனுபவமும், ஏமாற்றங்களும் தங்கள் அணிக்கும் உண்டெனவும் , மூன்று லட்சத்தில் இந்த அறப்போர் ஆவணப் படத்தை பல்வேறு மொழிகளில் வெளியிட முடிந்த தம்மால் , முப்பது லட்சம் இருந்தால் தமிழ் ஈழ போராட்ட வரலாற்றை ஆவணப் படுத்த முடியும் என நம்பிக்கை தெரிவித்தது,அமீர் உட்பட அனைவரையும் மெய்சிலிர்க்க வைத்தது .

முப்பது நிமிட ஆவணப் படம் மிகவும் இரத்தின சுருக்கமாக தமிழக போராட்டத்தினையும் அது வேர் விட்ட லயோலா கல்லூரியில் துவங்கி இங்கிலாந்து மட்டைப் பந்து அரங்கத்தில் நுழைந்து போராடிய நிகழ்வு வரை பதிவு செய்யப் பட்டுள்ளது. இதில் அரசியல் கட்சிகளின் ஓட்டுபொறுக்கி அரசியல் கடுமையாக சாடப் பட்டுள்ளது.
இந்த அரைமணி நேரப் படத்தில் ஈழப் பிரச்சனை குறித்த அறிமுகத்துடன் , பாலச்சந்திரனின் புகைப் படம் ஏற்படுத்திய தாக்கம் குறித்து விளக்கிவிட்டு லயோலா கல்லூரியில் உண்ணாவிரதம் இருந்த 8 மாணவர்கள் அவர்கள் சந்தித்த அரசியல் நெருக்கடியை விலாவரியாக அவர்களே விளக்குகின்றனர் , போராட்டத்தை ஒருங்கிணைத்த திவ்யா , இளையராஜா , மே 17 இயக்கத்தினர்கள் (உமர் ) , கோவை சட்டக் கல்லூரி மாணவர் மற்றும் சிதம்பரம் கல்லூரி மாணவர், ஐ ஐ டி சென்னை மாணவர்கள் ஹேமந்த் , வினோத் மற்றும் தீபக் ஜான்சன் ஆகியோரின் கருத்துக்கள் இடம்பெற்றுள்ளன . மாணவர் போராட்டத்தை ஒட்டி நடைப்பெற்ற அரசியல் மாற்றங்களை , அரசியல் நிகழ்வுகளை மொழிப் போர் ஈகி சூரிய பிரகாசம் மற்றும் ஒருவர் விளக்கியுள்ளனர் . மாணவர் போராட்டத்தினை ஊக்கப்படுத்தும் பாடல் ஒன்றும் இடம் பெற்றுள்ளது.

இப்படம் "ஒரு தரமான வரலாற்றுப் பெட்டகம்". இது போன்ற பல ஆவணங்கள் வெளி வரவேண்டும்.காலம் கடந்து தகவல்களை கொண்டு செல்வதற்கு ஆவணங்கள் தேவை. அனைத்து மாவட்ட மாணவர் அமைப்பினரின் பங்களிப்பையும் இந்தப் 30 நிமிடப் படத்தில் சேர்க்க இயலாத குறையை கடந்து, இதனை ஆதரிக்க வேண்டிய சமூகக் கடமை நமக்கிருக்கிறது.

Visiting Places around Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu There are lots of interesting places around Thanjavur.  There are lots of interesting places around Thanjavur and most of them can be reached by town buses or by hired vehicles without any difficulty. Some of them are: Mariamman Temple This temple is situated at Punnainallur, 6 kms away from Thanjavur. It is one of the local temples of Thanjavur and attracts a large number of devotees. Thiruvaiyaru Temple It is situated 13 kms away from Thanjavur on the banks of the river Cauvery. This ancient temple is dedicated to Panchanadiswara i, e, Lord of 5 rivers named Cauvery, Vennaru, Vettaru, Kudamurutti and Vadavaru. These five rivers form a network like garland to this Lord. Thiruchattruruthurai, Thiru-vedikkudi, Kandiyur, Thiruppoon-thuruthi and Thiruneithanam are the `Saptha Sthalas` of this temple. The deity of Ayyaru proceeds to these Saptha Sthalas during Chitthirai (April-May) festival. On the way to this temple, the beautiful image of Brahma, the superb panels of Ravana lifting Kailas at Thiruppoonthuruthi, Siva mounted on the bull with Uma, Ardhanari and Dakshinamurthi with veena in His hands are some of the fine pieces of art which can be noticed. This temple contains spacious halls and corridors. The idol of Lord Brahma is very gracefully executed. Some sculptures here are of Chalukyan style, which were brought as war trophy. The Thyagaraja Aradhana festival is organised here in January when most of the leading exponents of Carnatic music come to perform and are listened to by lakhs of enthusiastic fans of classical music. A huge complex is under construction here to accommodate the ever increasing number of devotees. Grand Anicut Karikal Chola of the Sangam Age built a barrage at the delta head of Thanjavur and it serves even today. The slave labours, who were the prisoners of war from Ceylon, built this. Stones were piled up across the river for 1080 ft. It was 60 ft. wide and about 20 ft. high. It survived the ravages of time and floods for over 1500 years due to the skills of ancient engineering. It is completely made of stones and earth. The dam here was repaired by Captain Caldwell in 1805. It is the overhead regulator of the water of Cauvery for irrigation. The park here is a nice place for picnic. Buses are operated from Thanjavur and Kumbakonam. It is about 48 km from Thanjavur. Thingalur temple This is a Siva temple, which is about 18 kms from Thanjavur. There is a separate shrine for Chandra (Moon God) in this temple and it is one of the nine places of Navagrahas. The pilgrims visit this all round the year. Ganapathi Agraharam One can see a famous Vinayaka temple here. There is a Vishnu temple next to it. Here, the Vinayaka Chathurthi festival (August-September) is very well known and thousands of people gather here during that time. Alangudi temple This is a famous Siva temple, situated at 43 kms from Thanjavur and near Kumbakonam on the Mannargudi Road. It is one of the temples of Navagraha (Nine Planets) and this place has the shrine of Guru (Jupiter). The devotees from all over India visit this temple throughout the year. This temple was built during the Chola period and depicts the Chola architecture. Papanasam town This historic town is situated 30 kms from Thanjavur. Two temples named, Pallavanatha Swamy temple constructed by Chola king and the `108 Sivalingam` temple can be seen here. A granary of 80 ft. breadth and 36 ft. height for storing 3,000 `kalams` of paddy can be seen here. The Nayaka kings constructed the town in 1600-1634 A.D. The state archaeological department has declared it as a monument. Thiruvalanchuzhi Here, one can see a shrine for Vinayaga and this place is situated near Swamimalai. The temple is an architectural wonder. The river Cauvery changed the course to the right (valam) here hence the place came to be known as Thiruvalanchuzhi. The image of Vinayaga here is in the form of sea foam. It is known by the name Swetha (white) Vinayaga. It has exquisitely chiselled stone pillars and stone lattice work of intricate design. Poondi Madha Shrine This is a village situated about 3.5 kms from Thanjavur. Budalur is the nearest railway station here. It is a Roman Catholic pilgrim centre like Velankanni and people from all over India visit this place. The accommodation is provided by the church authorities to the pilgrims. Manora Manora is situated 65 kms away from Thanjavur on the way to Kodikkarai in Saluvanayakkappattinam. Raja Serfoji built here a large number of storeyed towers in 1814 to commemorate the victory of the British over Napoleon in the battle of Waterloo. For a short period, it served as an observatory and a lighthouse. The tall tower is visible from a distance of 5 kms. It was utilised to keep books on shipbuilding, by the king. Kumbakonam Kumbakonam is one of the biggest towns in Thanjavur district and a commercial centre for silk, utensils and trade. It is 36 kms far from Thanjavur and is linked by road and rail. It is the treasure-house of art and architecture as almost all the important temples are found in and around Kumbakonam. It serves as a focal point from where all the Chola temples could easily be visited. Mahamagam, the Kumba Mela of the south is very popular here. It occurs once in 12 years when the planet Jupiter enters the constellation Leo and the Sun in Aquarius. A large number of devotees come here from all over India to have a holy dip in the Mahamagam tank here, which is located in the middle of the town. It is believed that the holy Ganges flows into this tank on that day.
